Puppies and Sleep Please

It’s been a long, difficult week.

But not without its good moments, moments I’m thankful for.

When I went out to leave for work this morning, I was delighted to find a mother dog and her two puppies visiting my dogs through the fence.  The puppies, about the size of a shoe, were absolutely fearless with my brutes, even nipping at 145 pound Luke’s nose through the fence. It was a happy way to start the day. As I was driving off, laughing at their antics, they bounded toward home. There was no sign of them this afternoon.

Tonight, I’m hoping for:

Neighbors who aren’t screaming unkind things at each other outside where the whole neighborhood can hear whether we want to or not.

Sleep…no bad dreams, no middle-of-the-night panic attacks, simply sleep for more than two hours.
